TheatreWorks Holds Casting Call for 'Boeing Boeing' September 23 and 24, 2013

NEW MILFORD, CONN. (September 9, 2013) – TheatreWorks New Milford is seeking a cast of 2 men (ages 25 to 50) and 4 women (ages 20 to 65) for the Tony Award-winning farce, BOEING BOEING by Marc Camoletti.

Winner of the 2008 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play, BOEING BOEING is a hilarious, door-slamming farce. Bernard, an American architect living in 1960s Paris, successfully juggles three flight attendant fiancées: one American, one German, and one Italian. He tracks their schedules while his long-suffering housekeeper reluctantly plays romantic air controller as they fly in and out of his swank bachelor pad. But when his old college pal, Robert, visits unexpectedly, things turn a tad turbulent. Unfortunately for Bernard, a faster Boeing jet has been introduced. Schedules change, flights are delayed, and chaos ensues in this hysterical, high-flying fiancée fiasco.

Auditions will be held at TheatreWorks, 5 Brookside Ave., New Milford (next to the CVS) on Monday, September 23 and Tuesday, September 24 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
BOEING BOEING is under the direction of Joe Russo of New Milford.

Auditions will consist of reading from the script. All roles are available and both professionals and amateurs are welcome. No appointments are necessary. TheatreWorks offers a stipend to all performers, technicians, and directors. Actors do not need to audition in an accent but will need to demonstrate a sample of an accent. All characters are broad comedic stereotypes. For audition sides, character breakdowns, and tips on speaking with an Italian, French, or German accent, visit: www.theatreworks.us/actors.

Rehearsals begin in October, with performances running December 6 to January 4, 2014.
