TheatreWorks New Milford Hosts Creative Workshop, Led by Broadway Actress, on July 30

NEW MILFORD, CONN. (July 18 , 2016) On Saturday, July 30, from 10AM to 1PM, TheatreWorks New Milford will host a dynamic creative workshop, 'Die Vampire, Die,' led by Broadway's Susan Blackwell. The workshop, appropriate for individuals of all ages, is inspired by the popular song 'Die Vampire, Die' from the hit Broadway musical [title of show], currently running at TheatreWorks New Milford through July 31. Miss Blackwell was also a member of the original Broadway cast of [title of show].

The workshop is designed to assist participants in identifying and nurturing the seedlings of ideas through the writing process and into performance. While some performance experience is helpful, it is not necessary.

According to Blackwell, who designed the workshop, "Every person has a well of creativity within them, whether they are actors, accountants or aerospace engineers. My hope is to help others connect with their inspired ideas, whether they hope to pursue them recreationally or professionally." Themes of this workshop include: Team building, Performance, Creative Writing, Contributing to a Creative Process, and much more.

In addition to writers and performers, ideal participants will be creative challenge-seekers looking for a fun, safe environment to try something new and who are seeking satisfaction through self-expression and confidence in communication.

Ms. Blackwell will also be participating in a wine & cheese reception following the Theatre's Friday, July 29 performance of [title of show]. In addition to [title of show], she also co-wrote and starred in Now. Here. This. with her [title of show] collaborators. Additional Off-Broadway credits include The Kid, Speech & Debate, Anon and Working Title as well as several television and film credits including Law and Order, The Good Wife and Person of Interest. Susan is the host of the popular Broadway.com series Side by Side by Susan Blackwell.
