Susan Pettibone

Susan Pettibone is thrilled to be directing "Annie" for TWKids.  She was the director of the musicals and of the Fall Comedies at Norwalk High School for over 20 years where she was also the Choir Director and department chair.  Some of her favorite shows to direct were "Les Miserables", "Hairspray", "Music Man", "Guys and Dolls", "Annie", "Kismet" (starring Robin De Jesus), and "Carousel".  Susan received her B.M.A. from Mississippi State University and her M.S. from Western Connecticut State University.  She has written and directed several children's musicals.  She taught K-12 music in Norwalk Public Schools for 35 years.

In addition to her educational pursuits, Susan has many performance credits.  She was last seen in "The Cripple of Inishmore" as Eileen.  Her other favorite roles were portraying Lynn Redgrave in the one-woman show "Shakespeare for My Father".  Other recent productions include Desiree in "A Little Night Music", "Liliane La Fleur" in Nine, "Mae West" in Dirty Blonde," Fraulein Kost" in Cabaret, Belle in "Little Me", Roxie Hart in "Chicago", Mrs. Lovett in "Sweeney Todd, and Domina in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum".  She has also directed shows and musicals at Brookfield Playhouse and TheatreWorks, New Milford.  Susan is now happily retired and pursuing lots of other adventures like this current one!
