The Actors Workout

Open to Actors, Directors, Writers, anyone interested in deepening their understanding of character and motivation.
This is not a class for beginning theatre artists. 18 years and over, please. It is intended to be a supportive and creative workshop environment for actors working in our area to hone their skills, confront their habits and broaden their community.
Learn to think like a director. Come work on the great scenes from great plays with scene partners. Discover the joys and rewards of deep psychological exploration. Learn to turn psychology into behavior.
Bring a prepared monologue to the first class. Scenes will be assigned at that time. Participants are expected to rehearse their scenes outside of class and present them on Wednesdays on a first come, first served basis. There will be a sign up sheet posted ½ hour before each class starts.
Wednesdays 6 to 9 pm Oct. 1 through Nov. 26
TERM: 9 sessions
PRICE: $20.00 a session. No upfront fee. Pay only for classes you attend.
