Calendar Notice for ‘The Game’s Afoot or Holmes for the Holidays’ December 5 – January 3

NEW MILFORD, CONN. (October 24, 2014) – This Holiday Season, TheatreWorks New Milford is proud to present the hilarious Ken Ludwig whodunit, THE GAME’S AFOOT OR HOLMES FOR THE HOLIDAYS.

It’s December 1936 and Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast-members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. Then it’s up to Gillette himself, as he assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to track down the killer before the next victim appears. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this farcical whodunit set during the Christmas Holidays.

The production features some of the finest actors in the state: Charles Schoenfeld (East Granby), Mary Wilson (Southbury), Janice Conner (Goshen), Robyn Maitland (New Fairfield), Frank Arcaro (Roxbury), M.J. Hartell (Brookfield), and Reesa Roccapriore and James Hipp (both New Milford).

THE GAME’S AFOOT is under the direction of Glenn R. Couture of Ansonia.
