Alicia Dempster
is thrilled to be taking a long overdue break from the director’s chair to be a part of Margulies’ beautiful play Time Stands Still. Some favorite acting credits include Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Sexual Perversity in Chicago (Joan), A Doll’s House (Kristine) and The Diary of Anne Frank (Mrs. Frank). Among Alicia’s favorite directing credits are Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Spring Awakening, Parade, Circle Mirror Transformation, Doubt, Little Shop of Horrors, Little Women, A Few Good Men and How I Learned to Drive. Alicia would like to express her sincere and undying gratitude to Sonnie for taking a chance and casting her, to Aaron, Will and Erin for sharing their amazing talents and making this journey so much fun, to Kathy, Denise, Beth and Joe for ensuring everything runs smoothly and to Billy, Sabine, Isabelle and Delaney for their continued support of her love of theatre. To quote Linsey Addario, the conflict photographer who provided so much inspiration during the rehearsal process, “When I am doing my work, I am alive and I am me. It’s what I do. I am sure there are other versions of happiness, but this one is mine.”
