Dandy Barrett
Returned in June to Connecticut to be nearer her sons and their families after a 20-year absence. In December, she jumped back into Connecticut theater playing Joseph in The Ridgefield Barn’s It’s a Wonderful Life Radio Play. In Savannah, where she made her home for more than 12 years, she was seen as Violet Weston (August: Osage County), Aurora/Spider Woman (Kiss of the Spider Woman), Dr. Vivian Bearing (Wit), Carrie Watts (Trip to Bountiful), Violet Venable (Suddenly Last Summer), and Berthe (Boeing Boeing), among others. Previously in Connecticut, Dandy appeared in a variety of dramatic, comedic, and musical comedy roles at The Wilton Playshop, the Town Players of New Canaan, and the Westport Community Theatre. She is delighted to be working with the gifted cast of Quartet, and she is especially grateful for the talent, gentle guidance, and unfailing support of the director, Jane Farnol. Dandy would also like to thank Kathy Bolster for her patient reminders and unflagging good humor, and Marguerite Foster for oh-so-necessary line drills.
