'Blue's Clues Live!' Comes to TheatreWorks New Milford New Theatre For Young Audiences Program Premieres January 23 & 24

NEW MILFORD, CONN. (January 11, 2010) – On January 23 and 24, TheatreWorks New Milford, in conjunction with The Ridgefield Theater Barn, will present three performances of BLUE’S CLUES LIVE! THE MOST SPECTACULAR PLACE – the first installment in the new Theatre for Young Audience Series designed specifically for pre-school and elementary school children. Produced and directed by Theater Barn Kids program director, Missy Slaymaker-Hanlon, this production will feature local actors – not a touring company – in order to provide the best local theater for young audiences.

“I am excited that BLUE’S CLUES will christen our new Theatre for Young Audiences Program for 2010,” said TheatreWorks President Glenn R. Couture. “I find this to be an exciting event not only because of the quality of the production and its appeal to young audiences, but collaborating with The Ridgefield Theater Barn gives us the opportunity to strengthen our relationship with other theaters in the area.”

The stage piece centers on Steve and Blue, stars of Nick Jr.’s Emmy, Peabody, and Parents’ Choice Award-winning children’s program, “Blue’s Clues.” Blue and Steve will lead the audience on a clue-based journey in search of the most spectacular place of all. Their quest takes them through Storybook Forest, where Blue and Steve meet The Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks, The Big Bad Wolf and other characters from classic fairytales. Blue and Steve even travel to outer space in search of the most spectacular place – discovering planets and other celestial wonders along the way.

BLUE’S CLUES! THE MOST SPECTACULAR PLACE runs Saturday, January 23 at 10:30 a.m & 1:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 24 at 1:00 p.m. Tickets for all shows are $15 for reserved seating. Reservations can be made online at WWW.THEATREWORKS.US or by calling the box office at (860) 350-6863.
