TheatreWorks New Milford Holds Second Casting Call for “Avenue Q” June 16, 2014
NEW MILFORD, CONN. (June 4, 2014) TheatreWorks New Milford is still seeking 3 actors for its upcoming fall musical comedy, the Tony Award-winning hit, AVENUE Q. The actors sought are an Asian or Asian-American female and an African-American female (both ages 21 to 45), and a white male (age 21 to 45).
Auditions will be held at TheatreWorks , 5 Brookside Ave., New Milford (next to the CVS) on Monday, June 16th, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
AUDITIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Auditioners should contact director Bradford Blake at bb0418@hotmail.com to arrange an appointment.
The call is not seeking any puppeteers. Just actors. All performers must move well and be proficient singers. Auditioners should be prepared with 16 bars of a contemporary musical theatre piece. A cappella auditions and auditions without music for the accompanist will not be permitted.

The show is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that although the residents seem nice, it’s clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood, considering it’s inhabited by both people and puppets. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life
Performances run from September 19 to October 18, 2014.
