TheatreWorks New Milford Presents Free Staged Reading of ‘Reasons to Be Pretty’ March 10

NEW MILFORD, CONN. (March 2, 2016) – On Thursday, March 10 at 8:00 p.m., TheatreWorks New Milford will present a free staged reading of Neil Labute’s comedy-drama, Reasons to Be Pretty. The evening will open with a wine and cheese reception at 7:30 p.m.

A love story about the impossibility of love, Reasons to Be Pretty introduces the audience to Greg, who really, truly adores his girlfriend, Steph. Unfortunately, he also thinks she has a few physical imperfections, and when he casually mentions them, all hell breaks loose. A hopelessly romantic drama about the hopelessness of romance, Reasons to Be Pretty is a play Time Magazine called “…tight, tense and emotionally true, and it portrays characters who actually seem part of the world that the rest of us live in.”

The cast includes four outstanding local actors: Reesa Roccapriore, Philip Kennan (both New Milford), Matt Austin and Jenny Schuck (both Danbury).

The cost of the reading is free, but reservations are recommended. Tickets can be acquired online at theatreworks.us or by calling the box office at 860.350.6863.
