TheatreWorks New Milford Participates in 2008 Free Night of Theater Free Performance of ‘A Little Night Music’ October 16

NEW MILFORD, CONN (September 30, 2008) – On Thursday, October 16, TheatreWorks New Milford will join 16 of Connecticut’s theater organizations in offering a free performance of Stephen Sondheim’s A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC at 8:00 p.m.

The free performance is part of the Theatre Communication Group’s 2008 FREE NIGHT OF THEATER. This annual nationwide celebration of America’s theater community was designed to offer free theater tickets to introduce new patrons to live theatre and give existing theatergoers the opportunity to attend a venue they have never visited before.

“We are honored to be part of this worthy and exciting effort, said Richard Pettibone, President of TheatreWorks New Milford. “In addition to the other 15 Connecticut theaters, we’ll be joining 600 other venues across the country in 120 different cities to attract new theatergoers through our doors. And if you’re going to draw someone new to the theatre, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC is the perfect show to make that introduction.”

On Thursday, October 2, at 10:00 a.m., the online box office for CT events opens at www.freenightoftheater.net. Interested patrons can visit the Web site and reserve a pair of tickets to see A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC at TheatreWorks New Milford. Limited quantities of seats are available for the October 16 performance. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge.

For more information, performance details, and to acquire tickets, visit www.freenightoftheater.net. PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT CONTACT THEATREWORKS TO ACQUIRE TICKETS FOR THIS PERFORMANCE. THE EVENT IS BEING MANAGED BY THEATER COMMUNICATIONS GROUP.
