Calendar Notice for Alan Ayckbourn’s Season’s Greetings December 4, 2009 to January 2, 2010

NEW MILFORD, CONN. (October 13, 2009) – For December, TheatreWorks New Milford will debut the Holiday comedy SEASON’S GREETINGS by Alan Ayckbourn, a playwright often referred to as “The British Neil Simon.”

SEASON’S GREETINGS finds Belinda and Neville at their quaint English home on Christmas Eve. Neville has forgotten to buy his wife a gift. Uncle Harvey takes in a non-stop marathon of TV action films. Neville’s friend Eddie and his wife are at each others throats. And Dr. Bernard rehearses an unintentionally hysterical puppet show while his wife Phyllis gets sloshed on the cooking wine. It’s all pretty “normal” until Belinda’s sister Rachel invites her friend Clive to the home – and then things really start to go awry.

SEASON’S GREETINGS is under the direction of Glenn R. Couture of Ansonia.

The production features some of the region’s finest actors: Nicholas Pollifrone (Naugatuck), Tracy Hurd (Brookfield), Viv Berger (Southbury), Matt McQuail (Newtown), Ali Bernhardt (Lagrangeville, NY), Janice Connor (Goshen), Phil Cook (Ridgefield), Tom Libonate (Danbury), and Mikki Harkin (New Milford).
