TheatreWorks New Milford – Casting Call for “Exit the King” Tuesday, July 20 and Wednesday, July 21 at 7:00 PM

NEW MILFORD, CONN. (June 28, 2010) TheatreWorks New Milford will be holding open auditions for Eugene Ionesco’s Exit the King on Tuesday July 20 and Wednesday July 21 at 7:00 P.M.

Exit the King is Eugene Ionesco’s poignant and hilarious play about a vainglorious king whose extravagance and incompetence has nearly destroyed his country. His first wife, Queen Marguerite attempts to convince the King that he has only ninety minutes left to live, but he refuses to accept the truth to tragic ends. No sides will be provided beforehand.  The director (Jane Farnol of Gaylordsville) requests a “cold” reading.  We are seeking two men (20-70) and three women (ages 20-60).  The performance dates are SEPT 16,17,18, 23,24,25, 30 OCT 1, 2,3, 8 & 9 2010.
