Calendar Notice for Moonlight and Magnolias April 18 through May 10, 2008

NEW MILFORD, CONN. (March 3, 2008) – This spring, TheatreWorks New Milford is proud to present the funny and fast-paced comedy, MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS, by Ron Hutchinson.

Movie producer David O. Selznick has just shut down production on the troubled set of his film Gone With The Wind and locked himself in his office with screenwriter Ben Hecht and director Victor Fleming to rewrite the script because shooting begins in a week and no script exists. Based on true events, this hilarious story of cinematic history comes to life as the three creative forces clash and compromise for five days straight, wrestling over every detail, from the shape of Tara’s plantation pillars to Scarlett O’Hara’s famous final words.

The production features some of the area’s finest actors: Jonathan Ross (Thomaston), Glenn Couture (Ansonia), Missy Slaymaker-Hanlon (Brookfield), and Thomas Libonate (Danbury). MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS is under the direction of Sonnie Osborne of New Milford.

MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS runs April 18,19 25,26 May 2,3,4 9,10. Curtain time is 8:00 p.m. Fridays & Saturdays, with a 2:00 p.m. Sunday matinee on May 4. Tickets for all shows are $20.00 for reserved seating.
