Calendar Notice for ‘Stage Kiss’ December 8 – January 6
NEW MILFORD, CONN. (October 27, 2017) – On December 8, TheatreWorks New Milford will open their production of Stage Kiss, a comedy by Sarah Ruhl.
Stage Kiss is a highly theatrical, not-so-romantic comedy about two actors with a history who are thrown together as romantic leads in a forgotten 1930s melodrama. They quickly lose touch with reality as the story onstage follows them offstage. This is a charming tale about what happens when lovers share a stage kiss-or when actors share a real one.
This production is under the direction of Nina Agostine Smith of Waterbury and produced by Frank Arcaro of Roxbury. The cast includes Karin Elsesser of New Milford, David Macharelli of Waterbury, Matt McQuail of Newtown, J. Scott Williams of Brookfield, Rosie Koocher of Bronxville, NY, Richard Chad Frey of New Fairfield, and Klara Gribetz of White Plains, NY.
Stage Kiss runs Fridays and Saturdays from December 8 through Saturday January 6. Curtain time is 8:00 p.m. on Fridays & Saturdays, and 2:00 p.m. on the Sunday matinee on December 17. Tickets are $23 for reserved seating. Students and Military personnel with ID will be admitted for $18.00.
On Thursday, December 7, Senior Citizens are invited to a free dress rehearsal at 8:00 p.m. Thursday December 14 at 8:00 p.m. is TheatreWorks’ Pay-What-You-Want night where you name the price of your ticket.
There will be a special New Year’s Eve Gala Fundraiser on December 31 with appetizers, dinner and a performance with an open bar of wine, beer, and soft drinks. Ticket price for this event will be announced at a later date. Reservations can be made online at theatreworks.us or by calling the box office at (860) 350-6863. ??
