John Lennon Tribute to Perform at New Milford High School to Benefit TheatreWorks New Milford

NEW MILFORD, CONN. (April 6, 2015) – On Saturday, April 25 at 8:00 p.m., “In My Life: The John Lennon Tribute” will be performed at New Milford High School as a one-night-only fundraiser for TheatreWorks New Milford.

“In My Life: The John Lennon Tribute” faithfully recreates the sounds, stories, and songs of John Lennon as performed by Carlo Cantamessa. Mr. Cantamessa has portrayed the role of Lennon in The Cast of Beatlemania shows for over 30 years. He has toured extensively, both nationally and internationally, receiving worldwide praise for his sound-alike and look-alike impersonation. The evening will feature special guest James Filgate. Mr. Filgate has portrayed the role of Beatle George Harrison in The Cast of Beatlemania for 13 years, bringing a lifetime of musical experience to his role while touring throughout the world.

The concert will be held at New Milford High School, 388 Danbury Road, New Milford. Tickets can be acquired online by visiting THEATREWORKS.US or by contacting Deb Faust at 203-948-1059.

Refreshments will be sold and a silent auction will be held with baskets being donated by regional organizations and businesses, such as Club 24, Breathe Peace Massage, The Bridgeport Sound Tigers, The White Horse Inn, NaturaLawn of America Newtown, The Ives Center, Chuck’s Steakhouse, and many more. Proceeds will benefit TheatreWorks New Milford, a non-profit organization, located at 5 Brookside Avenue in New Milford. For 48 years, TheatreWorks has provided Western Connecticut with outstanding regional theatre. In 2014, the Theater was named by Connecticut Magazine as the The Best Community Theater in the state.

The running time of “In My Life” is approximately two hours, including an intermission.

TheatreWorks is an award-winning, non-Equity theatre company, named Best Community Theater in Connecticut by Connecticut Magazine. TheatreWorks is located on 5 Brookside Avenue , just off Route 202 (next to the CVS), in New Milford , CT.
