TheatreWorks Holds Casting Call for David Mamet’s “November” Monday & Tuesday, July 30 & 31, 2012
NEW MILFORD, CONN. (July 10, 2012) — TheatreWorks New Milford is seeking a cast of 4 men, ages 35 to 70 and one woman, age 35 to 60 for its upcoming production of NOVEMBER, the 2008 Tony Award-winning comedy by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet.
NOVEMBER is a scathingly hilarious take on the state of America today and the lengths to which people will go to win. Set just days before a presidential election, incumbent Charles Smith’s chances for re-election are looking grim. Approval ratings are down, his money’s running out, and nuclear war might be imminent. But Smith isn’t going down without a fight. As per White House tradition, the President pardons a couple turkeys before Thanksgiving, and it is this simple PR event that inspires Smith to risk it all in a hilarious attempt to make an eleventh-hour comeback.
Auditions will be held at TheatreWorks, 5 Brookside Ave., New Milford (next to the CVS) on Monday, July 30 and Tuesday, July 31 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
NOVEMBER is under the direction of Richard Pettibone of New Milford.
For more information and questions, auditioners may contact the Theatre at info@theatreworks.us or by calling 860-350-6863.
