TheatreWorks New Milford Holds Casting Call for ‘Time Stands Still’ May 4 & 5

NEW MILFORD, CONN. (April 14, 2015) – TheatreWorks New Milford is seeking a cast of 2 men (ages 30 to 55) and 2 women (ages 21 to 45) for its searing summer drama TIME STANDS STILL by Pulitzer Prize-winner Donald Margulies.

This crackling new drama focuses on Sarah, a photojournalist, and James, a foreign correspondent and Sarah’s long-term boyfriend. Sarah has just returned to their apartment in Brooklyn after being injured covering a war zone. James, meanwhile, is riddled with guilt for having left Sarah alone. Theirs is a partnership based on telling the toughest stories, and together, making a difference. But when their own story takes a sudden turn, the adventurous couple confronts the uncertain prospect of a more conventional life. Smart, stylish, and timely TIME STANDS STILL will inspire much discussion well after the curtain comes down.

Auditions will be held at TheatreWorks, 5 Brookside Ave., New Milford (next to the CVS) on Monday, May 4 and Tuesday, May 5 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

TIME STANDS STILL is under the direction of Sonnie Osborne of New Milford.

Auditions will consist of reading from the script. All roles are available and both professionals and amateurs are welcome. No appointments are necessary. TheatreWorks offers a stipend to all performers, technicians, and directors. For character breakdowns, to download audition sides, and to get more info, visit: theatreworks.us/actors.

Rehearsals begin in June with performances running July 10 to August 1, 2015.

TheatreWorks is an award-winning, non-Equity theatre company, named Best Community Theater in Connecticut by Connecticut Magazine. TheatreWorks is located on 5 Brookside Avenue, just off Route 202 (next to the CVS), in New Milford, CT.
