TheatreWorks New Milford Holds OPEN Casting Call for Arthur Miller’s “All My Sons” June 24th and 25th
NEW MILFORD, CONN. (May 21 , 2018) – TheatreWorks New Milford is seeking 5 males and 3 females for Arthur Miller’s award-winning drama, All My Sons. Auditions will be held on Sunday June 24th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Monday June 25th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at TheatreWorks, 5 Brookside Avenue (20 Elm St Extension for GPS), New Milford, CT.
The director is Jane Farnol of Kent, CT.
During the war Joe Keller and Steve Deever ran a machine shop which made airplane parts. Deever was sent to prison because the firm turned out defective parts, causing the deaths of many men. Keller went free and made a lot of money. The twin shadows of this catastrophe and the fact that the young Keller son was reported missing during the war dominate the action.
The love affair of Chris Keller and Ann Deever, the bitterness of George Deever returned from the war to find his father in prison and his father’s partner free, are all set in a structure of almost unbearable power. The climax showing the reaction of a son to his guilty father is fitting conclusion to a play electrifying in its intensity.
A tremendously impressive drama that received the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play.
All roles EXCEPT Joe and Kate Keller are available, and both professionals and amateurs are welcome however please note that we are a NON-EQUITY theatre and do not offer compensation.
