TheatreWorks New Milford Holds OPEN Casting Call for Mel Brooks’ Zany Musical Young Frankenstein January 14th and 15th, 2018

NEW MILFORD, CONN. (December 28, 2017) – TheatreWorks New Milford is seeking a cast of 7 males and 3 females PLUS ENSEMBLE for Mel Brooks’ musical adaptation of “YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN.” Auditions will be held on Sunday January 14th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Monday January 15th from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm at TheatreWorks, 5 Brookside Avenue (20 Elm St Extension for GPS), New Milford, CT.

The director is Jocelyn Beard of Wingdale, NY.

Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced “Fronk-en-steen”) inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced “Eye-gore”), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. “It’s alive!” he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather’s. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds.

All roles are available and both professionals and amateurs are welcome. TheatreWorks offers a stipend to all performers, technicians, and directors. AUDITION REQUIREMENTS CAN BE FOUND AT http://theatreworks.us/actors/index.php
